Charges and Electronic Claims Submission:
Charges are entered by a Certified Professional Coder to ensure correct ICD-10 and CPT codes are being used. Smooth claims processing results in faster payment turn around. Electronic claims will be sent through Officeally or a clearinghouse of your choice.
Posting of payments:
All patient payments will be entered and applied to the appropriate account. Posting of insurance payments will be processed from your ERA/EOBs. Insurance companies paying at incorrect contracted rates will be reviewed and appealed for additional payments.
Statements and soft collections:
Balances will be billed on a continuous monthly basis. All past-due accounts will be reviewed and tracked before each cycle. Patients with balances over 90 days will be called to collect their debt. Patient inquiries regarding billing questions are handled professionally and all efforts to clear the account balance will be made.
Claim follow-up:
Aggressive follow-up on all claims. We will not let any claims slip through the cracks. All insurances requests will be handled promptly including re-billing, claim corrections, and/or insurance appeals. Quick claim payment requires urgent responses and follow-up.
Contracting / Re-credentialing:
If its time for yearly re-credentialing or applying for a new insurance panel, Direct Medical Billing will take care of all of the paperwork, giving you more time to focus on your patients.
Practice Consulting:
